Be Tahoe Local

Tahoe, a Mecca for outdoor activities is quiet. All visitors were asked to leave and wait to come back until travel is safe and viable. Tahoe locals are usually relieved when this time of the year comes around. The time between ski resorts closing and summer crowds arriving is the time for rest. COVID-19 forced us into isolation and rest of a very different kind.

January and February have been incredibly dry with only an inch of snow during February. When the snowstorm finally arrived mid-March, it was named "Miracle March". It brought masses of snow and ski hungry visitors. They also brought the virus with them. The ski areas shut down. Local businesses shut down. People went home. Many stayed. Locals got upset and scared that a small but mighty health system will be severely impacted. They asked visitors to leave, and shelter in place back home.

Lake Tahoe community and businesses depend on tourists of all kinds. We are now more than ever impacted by the Coronavirus.

Tahoe Teas is a small local business, supplying local stores, restaurants, and coffee shops. Help us get through this and order through our online store.  Try our Tahoe Local blend. Gift Tahoe Red or some of our other blends for Mother's day.

We thank you and we love you and we hope you come to visit beautiful Lake Tahoe soon.
